Valentines

Happy Valentines Day!

On Friday, we all dressed up and went to the "Big Band Boogie Ball" that was held at the University in their ballroom. We didn't stay long because it started so late and the little kids were getting tired. I snapped a picture before we left:The music was very entertaining. Doug, of course, was there all night since he is part of hosting the event.

Over the weekend, we purchased a new table with some of our tax refund. We sold our table when we moved to Greeley over a year and a half ago with the intention of buying a new one when we got here. We've been using a "generational" table that my sister Marilee let us borrow and folding metal chairs so it was nice to buy a new table.

Notice the candy, card, and placemats. That is what Doug gave me for Valentines. What a sweetie! The kids all received Valentines from both sets of Grandparents (THANKS!), us, and I'm sure they will come home with tons of candy from school too.

I hope all of you have had a GREAT Valentines day.

Noah update

I realized that I hadn't done a recent "Noah Update" and thought I would squeeze one in today. Noah will be 10 months old on Sunday.

  • He has 7 teeth. (4 on top and 3 on the bottom)

  • He crawled at 7 months old

  • He climbs the stairs (with supervision, of course)

  • Stands up to furniture.

  • Throws his food off of his High Chair when he doesn't want it.

  • Attacks his siblings if they take something away from him. (Nice, huh?)

  • Says Uh-oh, Da da, Ma ma, and boo. (learned in that order)

  • He can clap and wave hi.

  • Loves to play the piano.

This video is from when he was 9 months old:

Mason's Preschool

I decided to home school Mason for Preschool this year. Next year he will probably go to a community/local school for Preschool. He wasn't so sure of the idea at first, but once I showed him how fun it is, he has really liked it.

In the second picture he is holding a Big Bird puppet he made. We have also been talking about feelings and I liked the "surprised" face he was making in the second picture.
