After church on Sunday we decided to take a drive up the canyon. It is only a 30 minute drive to the mouth of the canyon. The drive up the canyon follows the "Big Thompson" river. We stopped and walked around a bit. We saw a duck in the river (which surprised me a little bit), and we also saw a beaver. (I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of the beaver, so all I got was the dam...drats!). We were there at dusk and we saw A LOT of fish jumping. It would have been a great spot for fly fishing.

I can't wait to go camping!

Looks like you found a good spot to stop. I love and miss the mountains.
